YumCycle Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of YumCycle. YumCycle is a surplus food marketplace operated by Grabnex Ecommerce Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 15288512). These Terms apply to the YumCycle website (yumcycle.com), the YumCycle customer mobile app, the YumCycle seller mobile app, and the YumCycle rider mobile app. By creating a YumCycle account or using YumCycle in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use YumCycle.

1. About YumCycle

YumCycle is operated by Grabnex Ecommerce Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 15288512). Contact YumCycle at hello@yumcycle.com.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use YumCycle
• You must be based in the United Kingdom
• YumCycle sellers must hold any required food hygiene certificates and comply with all applicable food safety legislation
• YumCycle riders must have a valid right to work in the UK and operate a lawful vehicle

3. Customer terms

As a customer of YumCycle you agree to:

• Provide accurate delivery information and contact details when placing YumCycle orders
• Pay for all orders placed through YumCycle
• Collect or accept delivery of orders within the agreed timeframe
• Not misuse the cancellation or refund process
• Use YumCycle carbon credits only as described — 25% of net CO₂ saved per order is credited to your wallet and can be redeemed for discounts or donated to approved causes

4. Seller terms

As a YumCycle seller (home cook, caterer or restaurant) you agree to:

• List only genuine surplus food on YumCycle — food that would otherwise go to waste
• Comply with all UK food safety laws, including the Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene Regulations 2006, and any applicable allergen labelling requirements
• Accurately list all allergens and dietary information for each YumCycle listing
• Accept orders within a reasonable time and fulfil them as listed
• Connect a valid Stripe account to receive YumCycle payouts. YumCycle retains 20% of each order as a platform fee
• Use the YumCycle LiveLit House feature responsibly. You are responsible for the accuracy of any claims made during a TikTok live stream
• Not list food that is expired, unsafe for consumption, or misrepresented

5. LiveLit House — TikTok integration in YumCycle

The YumCycle LiveLit House feature allows YumCycle sellers to connect their TikTok account to YumCycle so that viewers watching their TikTok LIVE can place orders directly at yumcycle.com/live/[handle].

• By connecting your TikTok account to YumCycle, you authorise YumCycle to access your TikTok display name, profile picture (avatar_url), open_id and username via TikTok Login Kit. Details of how each field is used are set out in the YumCycle Privacy Policy section 4.
• You are responsible for the content of your TikTok live streams and must comply with TikTok's Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
• YumCycle is not responsible for the content of TikTok live streams or any claims made during them
• You may disconnect your TikTok account from YumCycle at any time from your YumCycle seller profile settings

6. Payments and refunds

• All YumCycle payments are processed securely by Stripe. By placing an order you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service
• Payment is taken at the time of order placement
• YumCycle refunds are issued at YumCycle's discretion if: the seller cancels the order, the food is materially different from the listing, or a verified food safety issue is reported
• YumCycle does not offer refunds for change of mind after food preparation has begun
• YumCycle seller payouts are processed weekly via Stripe Connect, minus the 20% platform fee and any applicable payment processing fees

7. Carbon credits

• YumCycle carbon credit estimates are calculated using WRAP UK Food Waste Measurement Guidance (2024) emission factors and DEFRA UK Greenhouse Gas Conversion Factors (2024)
• Carbon figures are estimates and have not been independently verified. YumCycle is working toward Verra VCS VM0046 certification
• YumCycle carbon credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts
• 1 kg CO₂ = £0.50 discount when redeemed on YumCycle. Minimum redemption is 1 kg CO₂
• YumCycle reserves the right to modify the carbon credit system with reasonable notice

8. Rider terms

As a YumCycle rider you agree to:

• Operate as an independent contractor. You are not an employee of Grabnex Ecommerce Ltd or YumCycle
• Hold valid insurance for your vehicle and delivery activities
• Deliver YumCycle orders promptly and professionally and handle food safely during transit
• Keep your GPS location active during YumCycle deliveries so customers can track their order in real time
• Receive 80% of the YumCycle delivery fee for each completed delivery. Delivery fees are calculated as £1.50 base + £0.30 per mile (seller → customer distance only)

9. Prohibited conduct on YumCycle

You must not:

• Create fake YumCycle accounts or impersonate other users
• List food that is not genuine surplus or is unsafe
• Attempt to circumvent the YumCycle platform fee by transacting off-platform
• Use YumCycle to engage in any unlawful activity
• Harass, abuse or threaten other YumCycle users
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape or disrupt YumCycle

Violation may result in immediate YumCycle account suspension and legal action where appropriate.

10. Intellectual property

All content on YumCycle — including the YumCycle name, logo, design, software and carbon calculation methodology — is the intellectual property of Grabnex Ecommerce Ltd and may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

YumCycle is a marketplace platform. YumCycle connects buyers and sellers but is not the seller of food items. To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• YumCycle is not liable for the quality, safety or accuracy of food listings created by sellers
• YumCycle is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the platform
• YumCycle's total liability to you shall not exceed the value of your most recent order

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.

12. Governing law

These YumCycle Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these Terms

YumCycle may update these Terms from time to time. You will be notified of significant changes by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before they take effect.
